Decorative Art is simply defined as painting on functional objects. This can be so many things: furniture, dishes, clothing, walls, clocks, cabinets, etc.
This plate series can be used as chargers to hold glass dishes (so that you can see the design) to serve food on or they can be used as wall hangings.
I paint in Oils in the style of Contemporary Realism which just means that I paint photo realism!
These items being offered are also available in Lesson Packets if you wish to paint your own.
The metal surface that the designs are painted on are no longer available so these are truly one-of-a-kind!

UPDATE: I have been asked to donate this piece to the permanent collection of the Society of Decorative Painters! It will reside at the headquarters along with all the other beautiful pieces that comprise the Society's collection. I count this quite a honor! Oil on wood - I can paint it for you! |
